Terenure Rangers U12 in Newbridge Tournament

Terenure Rangers started their history with a nil all draw against Kilcullen, followed by a one all draw with Shamrock Rovers, with captain Ronan Rafferty scoring the club's first ever goal with an excellent worked assist by Tadhg Dixon. The third game against Gorey also ended in a 1-1 draw with Hugh Burke scoring from a volley after a headed clearance from Conor Quinn's strong corner delivery.

With every game in the group ending in a score draw, except the Terenure Rangers/Kilcullen game  it came down to goals scored and Terenure/Rangers entered into a penalty shootout for third/fourth place. Kilcullen won the shootout and Terenure Rangers went on to play Newbridge in the next round.

Terenure Rangers lost this one nil despite having the ball fly just past by the goalpost after James Brennan cut inside and unleashed a cracker in the dying seconds. The small squad available for the tournament took its toll in the end, both injuries and tiredness, as Terenure Rangers simply ran out of steam in this game and were well below their standard in the first three games.

All in all Terenure Rangers moved the ball nicely and the manager was very satisfied.!
